Lessons Nana Taught Me
Some of the most important lessons in my life didn’t come from textbooks, boardrooms, or classrooms.
They came from my grandmother.
Nana had a quiet way of teaching — not always through long speeches, but through small moments, simple wisdom, and the way she lived her life. These are a few things she taught me that I carry with me.
Work hard, but stay humble. No accomplishment should ever make you forget where you came from.
Show up for people. The smallest acts of care often mean the most.
Carry yourself with dignity. You don’t have to be loud to be strong.
Do things the right way, even when no one is watching.
Celebrate the milestones. Every step forward matters.
And perhaps the most important lesson:
Dream bigger than your circumstances. Somewhere along the way, Nana believed in a future for me that I could not yet see for myself.
